WATCH: Helicopter Drop at Johns Brook Lodge

The 2015 Annual Guide to the Great Outdoors, on newsstands now, includes an inside look at the Adirondack Mountain Club’s Johns Brook Lodge, a backcountry hostel that’s a three and a half–mile hike from the Garden trailhead in Keene Valley. Lodge employees make the trek several times a week to bring in fresh food and other necessary items, but heavier supplies get airlifted in each spring. Videographer Brian Molongoski was there last month for the annual helicopter drop.
